The staff and management of The Lion House are committed to bringing you the finest quality service and food. Our unsurpassed service affords you complete assurance that all commitments will be carried out, absolutely on schedule, and to your complete satisfaction. Allow our professional catering staff to assist you in handling any details to ensure an ultimately successful event.
In order to assure you and your guests a well-organized function, we must ask that you adhere to the following catering guidelines.
The Lion House and all of its banquet facilities are 100% smoke-free. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises. No coffee or tea will be served at the Lion House.
A final guest count is required 7 days in advance. You will be charged for this number plus any additional guests. With the exception of the wedding cake, the complete menu will be catered by the Lion House. No other food items should be brought into the Lion House.
A $700.00 deposit is required and MUST BE RECEIVED within 15 days of booking. All deposits will be applied toward the balance. Credit cards and checks are accepted for deposits. Wedding Reception deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred one time with no fee, with at least 90 days advance notice.
Payment in full is due 7 DAYS prior to your reception, along with the final count. We accept credit cards, cash or a certified check. A 19% Service Charge will automatically be assessed, which includes set-up fees. Gratuity is optional. All menu prices quoted are subject to current Utah Sales Tax and are subject to change.
Because of the great value, Lion House lamps and art objects may not be removed nor should furniture be rearranged or removed from the room. Individuals making reservations are responsible for any art objects that are damaged or taken from the Lion House. Cameras, purses, punch cups and other items should not be placed on tables or mantles. For health and safety reasons, we request NO RICE, CONFETTI OR BIRDSEED be thrown either INSIDE OR OUTSIDE the Lion House. Children attending wedding receptions must stay in the reserved area with their parents. They should not be permitted to run throughout the house or play on the elevator. This is to insure that young children, who are unaware of the value of antiques, do not accidentally damage an art object. It is also to insure that other guests are not disturbed.
To avoid long waiting lines at large receptions, issue some invitations for earlier times than others. The reception hours printed on the invitation should not extend beyond 9:00pm. The Lion House allows a one-hour leeway for late arriving guests.
Flowers, cakes, decorations, gifts and bridal clothes may be delivered no earlier than 4:00pm. Fresh flowers should be brought in leak-proof containers. The Lion House will not provide protective mats. Antique vases in the Lion House may not be used as flower containers. Under no circumstances may anything be hung on the walls or windows. Candles must be enclosed in glass i.e.: hurricanes, chimneys or votive containers.
